INTRODUCTION

The meeting started at 7:00 p.m.  Everyone introduced themselves.

I-96 Interchange Improvements

Shea Charles summarized the process and timeline for petitioning the State of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT.)  The petition is to encourage MDOT to plan for improvements to the I-96/D-19 Interchange. 

Erin Perdu handed out a draft resolution to petition MDOT.  The Marion Township Board and City of Howell Council will review and adopt the resolution.  Once the Marion Township Board of Trustees adopts the resolution Annette McNamara will send a copy to the City of Howell and Erin Perdu will include it in the package.

City of Howell Master Plan update & Form Based Code

Shea Charles informed the committee that the City of Howell is reviewing several proposals to update their Master Plan.  He also talked about Form Based Codes and how it will affect development along the South Michigan Avenue corridor.

Placement of new MHOG Water Tower in Marion Township

Bob Hanvey explained the necessity for an additional water tower in Marion Township , low water pressure in the HomeTown Village of Marion.  The proposed site will consists of five lots within the Copperfield Site Condominium Development.  The tower will be visible to the residents of the City of Howell .
