INTRODUCTION

The meeting started at 6:40 p.m.  Everyone introduced themselves.

I-96 Interchange Improvements

Shea Charles informed the committee Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has approved the traffic study submitted by the City of Howell along with significant list of conditions.  The City is not willing to sign off on the conditions at this time.  The project is in a holding pattern.

The committee discussed the Latson Road project.

Section 6.27 Wellhead Protection Area

Erin Perdu and Terry Wilson are satisfied with the language.

Paul Streng suggested adopting this as part of the City of Howell Zoning Ordinance and asked it be placed on the May Planning Commission agenda.

The City asked that Marion Township notify them once the language is adopted.

Manufactured Home Community

The committee discussed using a joint master plan for the strongest and best case.  The Livingston County Department of Planning has sent out their Comprehensive Plan for review and comment.  It was suggested that both communities send comments.  The Iosco Township case was discussed and it was suggested Marion Township look at that text.

Other Topics

Placement of new MHOG Water Tower in Marion Township

Bob Hanvey updated the committee on the placement of the water tower.  Marion Township is now looking at a parcel behind HomeTown Village of Marion for the placement of the tower.

Next Meeting

The committee agreed to meet again in September 2010.

Adjourn

The meeting ended at 7:10 p.m.
